# Simple Food Memory > An honest food and symptom memory you talk to inside ChatGPT or Claude. It logs what you eat and how you feel in plain language, then finds cautious, counterexample checked patterns for IBS, IBD, and sensitive guts. Not a calorie tracker. Not a diagnosis. ## What it is Simple Food Memory is a remote MCP server. A person adds it once to ChatGPT or Claude, approves access on an OAuth consent screen, then logs meals and symptoms and asks about patterns in natural language. ## How to connect MCP server URL: https://simplefoodmemory.com/mcp/simplefoodmemory In ChatGPT: turn on developer mode (Settings, Apps, Advanced settings), then Settings, Apps, Create, and paste the server URL. In Claude: open Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector, and paste the server URL. Connecting requires a free account and an OAuth approval step. It cannot be completed by pasting a prompt. ## What you can do once connected Log a meal: say what you ate in plain language. Log a symptom: say how you felt, roughly when, and how strong. Find patterns: ask which foods tend to show up before bad days.
